Duties

  • Determine the company’s mission & strategic direction as conveyed through policies and concrete objectives which they meet through the effective management of financial resources
  • Monitor cash flow, accounts, and other financial transactions and manage all aspects of monthly & quarterly financial closing and reporting process including financial reporting and account reconciliations
  • Prepare official financial reports on a monthly and annual basis
  • Preparation and finalization of monthly, quarterly & annual budgets & forecasts
  • Oversee, review, and monitor the budgets for each entity
  • Update and implement financial policies and procedures
  • Analyzing the on-going profitability of all ventures entered into by the company
  • Analysis of cost of sales and operational expenses and provide solutions to help mitigate the risk
  • Partner with Product management &amp Purchasing team in determining financial impact due to product cost reductions, new product roll out etc. and update Group CEO & directors of the company on projected results
  • Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken
  • Engage legal/corporate firms to restructure the company with making BenchMatrix Canada as Head office. All entities i.e. BM Pakistan, BM UAE, BM Bahrain, BM KSA will be fully owned subsidiaries of BM Canada in Waterloo
  • Engage and execute consolidation of accounts and financial statements of all entities of BenchMatrix
  • Standardize and set-up regulatory reporting of financial statements and its audit for different entities of BenchMatrix
  • Position in Canada as Executive Manager Finance will enable consolidation of all financial activities under Head Office Canada
  • Maintain a policy manual for the finance department of all entities i.e BM Pakistan, BM Bahrain, BM Canada, BM UAE and BM KSA
  • Supervise financial assistants and other employees in the facilitation of day-to-day operations, including tracking financial data, invoicing, payroll, etc.
  • Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions
  • Allocate material, human and financial resources to implement organizational policies and programs; establish financial and administrative controls; formulate and approve promotional campaigns, and approve overall human resources planning
  • Represent the organization or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization, in negotiations or other official functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in commerce, finance, accounting or a related field
  • Related experience as an Executive Manager/Finance Head with a record of excellence in all areas of finance (sales, marketing, public relations/communications and business administration experience considered an asset)
  • 5 years of experience in finance at a management level
  • Business development experience is considered an asset
  • Experience dealing with government entities and regulations as it relates to corporate restructuring
  • International taxation experience considered an asset
